TOURE SET FOR LIVERPOOL

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has praised the club for managing to capture Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure on a free transfer from Manchester City. He is the first signing for the club in the summer.

Due to the fact that he was available on a free transfer, the club went against their policy of signing older players. After the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool have brought in several players below the age of 24. Touré, though, arrives with a wealth of experience after having played in the Premier league for several years with Arsenal and Manchester City.

BURSA CHASE KOLO

The Turkish club Bursaspor have indicated that they are likely to rekindle their interest in the Manchester City defender Kolo Toure, who has been linked with a move away from the club for quite a while. The Ivory Coast international has found it hard to get regular first-team football under the regime of Mancini.

MUST IMPROVE

The defender of Cote d’Ivoire, Kolo Toure, has said that his team will have to improve its defense if it has to do well against the top teams. Toure gave this statement after the victory of Cote d’Ivoire over Egypt in a friendly match played on Monday. Cote d’Ivoire won that match by 4-2.

Gervinho scored a couple of goals, while, Didier Ya Konan and Lacina Traore scored one goal each to secure the victory of Cote d’Ivoire.

Vieira confident of Dzeko stay

Even though Edin Dzeko cost Manchester City no less than £27m in January last year, there has always been constant speculation about his future at the Etihad Stadium. However, football development executive Patrick Vieira claims that talk of an exit for the Bosnian is complete rubbish and there is no chance he will leave City for rumoured destination Juventus.

DEFENCE WAS WEAK

The defender of Manchester City, Kolo Toure, has said that the weak defense of City is the main reason for the team’s defeat in the match against Aston Vila.

Manchester City was defeated by Villa by a profound margin of 4-2 in a match played at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday

The performance of Manchester City in the last three matches hasn’t been up to the mark. The City team hasn’t managed to win even one match out of its previous three matches. The team has lost two, while, the third one ended in a draw.

WE WILL KEEP TITLE

Manchester city defender Kolo Toure has expressed his confidence that the club will be able to retain the Premier league title against stiff opposition from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea. Prior to the start of the season, the Ivory Coast international has said that it is certainly not going to be easy to retain the title.

KOLO SET FOR ANOTHER MOVE

Manchester City defender Kolo Toure could be set for a move to another league after it was revealed that PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti is showing a lot of interest in the 31-year-old defender, according to the Arsenal news website.

SILVA STAYING AT CITY

David Silva has suggested he is willing to pledge his long term future to Manchester City. Silva has two years left on his current deal and has attracted attention from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. City are keen to tie their man down with a long term contract and Silva seems keen to do the same.

KOLO WILL MISS CITY MATCHES

Manchester City might have to hope for the best in their next match as they will not be having Kolo Toure to perform for them as Kolo will be starting his training session for the FIFA Cup.

The deadlines have been clearly mentioned in the FIFA contract and the Ivory Coast manager is keen on making sure that these deadlines are followed. One of the most important hopes for Manchester City was that Ivory Coast might miss out on the exact deadlines and this might mean that Kolo gets to play for them a little longer.
