KOLO TOURE SET TO MAKE HISTORY

KoloToure is set to make history with Celtic at the end of the season.

The former Ivory Coast international was part of the GunnersInvincibles’ team that remained unbeaten all through the 2003/04Premier League season. They were the eventual winners and they did it in style.

Celtic have been unbeaten all season and there are just eight games left this term. The 36-year old, who joined the Hoops this summer to reunite with Brendan Rodgers, has played just seven times in the Scottish Premiership. He would need to make appearances in at least three more matches – to qualify for a winners medal – and hope Celtic remain unbeaten for the rest of the eight games left.

This would make the Ivorian the only player in history to win two leagues with two different teams and yet remain unbeaten all through the season. If it happens, it would be such a landmark achievement for the player who started his pro career in the African streets before playing for ASEC Mimosas.

Toure has had a brilliant career. From his time with ASEC to moving to Europe, then at Arsenal, Man city, Liverpool and now Celtic. The centre back has won titles and could yet add another this term.
On the international scene, he has been a success as well. He made 120 caps playing for Ivory Coast. He was part of the golden generation that made their mark in African football.

Recently, his dance with the Bhoys squad went viral. Though he might not have played a visible role in the amazing success of the squad, he has managed to integrate himself very well. Celtic have won 28 games while playing a draw in two matches in what has been a phenomenal debut season for Rodgers.
