Kolo Toure is moving closer towards an exit from Anfield

Defender Kolo Toure is moving closer towards an exit from Anfield, as he has reportedly received offers from a number of Chinese clubs.

Toure is coming to the end of his career at Liverpool with his contract set to expire in the next few weeks. He was initially signed by former manager Brendan Rodgers on a free transfer. Despite being expected to only play a limited role at the club,Toure has gone on to become an influential player especially in the last six months. Manager Jurgen Klopp has benefited immensely from the experience provided by the former Arsenal and Manchester City player.

Toure came close to winning the league title with Liverpool in his first season at the club. It would have made him the first player in the Premier League history to have lifted the league title with three different clubs. He has already won the league title with Manchester City and Arsenal.Klopp was so impressed with the experience and quality provided by the former Ivory Coast international that he was preferred for the big matches despite being 35. It was not a surprise to seeToure starting the Europa League final against Sevilla. Liverpool lost the game and failed to win the title.

Toure, though, stated his desire to stay at Anfield despite the club being reluctant to provide him a new deal. Liverpool are thought to be concerned about the player’s age."I don't know [about my future] to be honest. We will see what will happen and you will have to ask that question to the manager.Of course I want to stay. It's a great club to play in, but the manager has his plan and any decision I will respect," said Kolo Toure when asked about his future a few days ago.
